While most of us continue living our private lives, ignoring what is happening beyond our personal borders, I will share the opinion of a pessimist. We are nearing the end of civilization as we understand it. Social problems plague our continued human existence. We will destroy our environment, thereby destroying our source our food and energy. Political corruption, corporate greed and self pity will lead to a great collapse in society.
